O LORD, HEAR MY CRY FOR MERCY.
May 30, 2023
I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”
Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy. Psalm 140:1 (NIV)
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, So that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)
Our Father Who art in Heaven and in my heart, Hallowed be Thy Name, the God of Mercy. O Lord, You long to be gracious to me, to show me compassion. For You are a God of justice. And therefore, I know I am blessed because You give me the courage to wait for You. Hallelujah! If I ask, Father, where is Your mercy, You reply, “I am Your mercy.” If I ask, where is Your grace, You say, “I am Your grace. For if You know me, and You love me, then mercy and grace are yours, not just in this life, but in the next. Blessed are those who wait for me.” Hallelujah!
Forgive me, Father, for what appears to be an ungrateful heart. For certainly after all You have given me, here I am asking for more mercy. Is there an endless supply? Am I really worth it, Lord? Do You have enough grace to go around?
“Yes, dear one. I long to be gracious to you and to rise up, to show you compassion. For my supply, like the new wine at the wedding in Galilee, never ends. I have saved the best wine for last.” Hallelujah!
For those praying with me, there is a point where we must come to the end of our worldly beliefs, and begin to seek the spirit of God, Who shows us Truth. And that Truth is made clear for us in the life of Jesus Christ, Who in His very first miracle, changed water into new wine. He has, indeed, saved the best wine for last. And may we all drink of it in Heaven. Hallelujah!
I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the God of Mercy. Amen and Amen.
Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.
Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”
They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” John 2: 8-10 (NIV)
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
Therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are those who wait for him.
Isaiah 30:18 (ESV)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy,
To offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—
This is your true and proper worship.
Romans 12:1 (NIV)
