QUALIFICATIONS FOR DWELLING WITH JEUS IN HEAVEN
February 26, 2026
Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.
Psalm 15: 1-5 (NIV)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine
or nakedness or danger or sword?
Romans 8:35 (NIV)
My sheep listen to My voice;
I know them, and they follow Me.
I give them eternal life
And they will never perish.
No one can snatch them
Our of My Father’s hand.
John 10:27-28 (Berean Study Bible)
Our Father Who art in Heaven and in my heart, Hallowed be Thy Name, the God Whose Word Instructs, Warns, Loves, and Rewards His Children for Their Faithfulness. O Lord, it’s just too much for the world to hope in anything good. Those who are perishing prefer to cling to fear, rather than to accept a peace from You that passes all understanding. Even with the hope of Eternal Life presented to them, those who refuse to listen, cannot accept Your Son. They love division over unity, and derision over beauty.
Forgive me, Father, for falling for the temptation to engage with those who disagree with me. Jesus told me this would happen. “This is My command to You: Love on one another. If the world hates you (they do, Lord), understand that it hated me first.” I confess, Father, I sometimes feel set apart, which only increases the wrath of those who hate You, and all You represent. Their rage is perhaps a living proof of their feeling lost, and alone. For this is despair, Lord, if someone has no one to lean on, and to love forever. Gift me with Your Grace to give, to love, and serve those who disagree with You, and therefore cast me away. May I turn the other cheek. May their rejection of me bring out the best in me. You, Father, give the world Your best, and so should I. Thank You, Lord, for this Holy revelation of Your everlasting love for Your children.
For those praying with me, are you feeling loved or rejected by the world?
Heavenly Father, why does acceptance or rejection by others mean so much to us? Jesus set the precedent, by showing us what true rejection looks like. He used the Cross as a crucible of Truth to show us the difference between love and hate, between division and acceptance. Help us, Father, to understand Your Son’s mission statement while on earth: He came not for the Righteous but for the thief and the liar. How many Righteous were there when Jesus arrived? Judging from the state of today’s population, we would guess there were few. Father, we thank You for sending us Jesus, and teaching us the lessons of the Cross, which are Righteousness and Truth, perfected and promised to all who believe in Jesus, Your Son.
We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the God Whose Word Instructs, Warns, Loves, and Rewards His Children for Their Faithfulness. Amen and Amen.
This is My command to you:
Love on one another. If the world hates you,
Understand that it hated Me first.”
If you were of the world,
It would love you as its own.
If you were of the world,
It would love you as its own.
Instead the world hates you,
Because you are not of the world,
But I have chosen you out of the world.
